Our Impact

Reading Time: 4 minutes

I have recently completed a block of 10 week coaching sessions with Glenn and it has been absolutely fantastic. I came to Glenn because I was interested in his flexible approach to exercise and nutrition, as I wanted to spend my time outdoors and working with the equipment I already had rather than fork out for a gym membership. After a few emails back and forth with questions about my current habits and exercise levels, we started weekly Zoom sessions which helped guide me through the personalised coaching plan. On top of this, the core parts of my plan were detailed on an app so I could easily log the exercise I was doing and any issues I was having so we could discuss them on the call.

When initially looking for a coach, I thought I needed someone to hold my hand, and give me a prescriptive programme of what to do when. However, I soon learned that Glenn is far more flexible than that, and he has taught me so many valuable lessons about taking ownership of my own improvement. Rather than a 10 week course and I’d be “fixed”, he instead gave me the building blocks to change my habits and form routines that will last me a lifetime. The positivity and energy from Glenn is great; I don’t mind admitting that I struggle with my mental health in relation to eating and exercise, but Glenn helped me to change my perspective and learn to be kind to myself. Reframing my attitude towards eating, and teaching me some basic skills in how to manage the nutritional value of my meals has made more difference than any ‘diet’ fad I have read about or tried previously. I had so many lightbulb moments during the sessions, and thanks to Glenn I am well under way to achieving my goals.

Glenn shows great wisdom and insight during the sessions, and I genuinely felt that he ‘got’ me and understood the challenges I was facing when adapting to new routines and discipline. He had lots of different ideas to try, and I couldn’t be happier with how much I have improved over the last few months – my cardio fitness is the best it has ever been, and I am becoming stronger and more mobile from following Glenn’s video tutorials on YouTube, all without expensive gym equipment.

By his own admission, teaching people to be self sufficient and take ownership of their own journey may not be a great business model. However, Glenn will be the first port of call when I want to take my training on to the next level in a few months time!

Thank you for all of your help, and I will be back!

I joined the 14 Day Wild.Life Reboot three years ago, not realising how impactful it would be
for my life ahead. Not long after completing the course, my health took a sudden downturn,
and I became homebound for a significant period. It was an incredibly tough time, but the
tools and mindset shared during the Reboot stayed with me and quietly became a lifeline.
As I adjusted to a new reality, I began to take control of what I could: creating a gentle sleep
routine, paying more attention to my eating habits, prioritising rest, and finding new ways
to relax. Though my ability to walk was severely limited, I still found a way to stay connected
to nature by simply sitting in the garden, watching the birds and breathing in fresh air.
One of the most valuable things I learned was how to build in small, manageable
movements. Nothing big or overwhelming, just gentle, intentional activity that suited where
I was physically. That practice gave me a sense of progress and control during a time when
both were hard to find.
Some of the tools for relaxation, like binaural beats and the acupressure mat, were things
I’d never have thought to try before the programme, but they became such helpful
companions through pain and fatigue. Over time, those small daily habits supported my
recovery and helped me feel more grounded.
Now, four years on, I’m feeling stronger and more active, yet the principles I learned
through the Reboot remain deeply rooted in how I live. They remind me that meaningful
change doesn’t come from pushing harder, but from gently and consistently showing up for
ourselves, day after day. That compassionate approach helped me shift my focus to what
was truly possible, and from those small, steady steps, real and lasting change began to
grow.
If you’re thinking about joining Ember, I truly recommend it. The tools you’ll gain aren’t just
for those 14 days, they stay with you, sometimes quietly, until you need them most.

So nearing the end of Week 6 and I thought I’d see what has changed in that time.

My MAF walk resulted in 30% further than Week 1.

My strength movements ranged between 5% – 20% improvement.

I have a greater range of motion in my torso than when I started and movement is much freer all over.

I have more energy and I sleep consistently 8-8.5 hrs.

My stress levels will always fluctuate but I feel more able to take myself away from escalating and uncontrolled to a more measured handling of the situation.

I’ve taken 8cm off my waist and 3cm off my hips. I’ve lost a total of 10lb which I’m delighted about.

I’ve enjoyed most of my culinary experiments.

My planning and execution still need some finessing, but I’m seeing and feeling the benefits.

Thanks everyone who has been on this journey with me, and in particular Kelley Hann and Glenn White whose drive and determination made this all possible . Now to continue, onward, upward, forward.
